A legendary hideaway awaits- nestled in the lush Montecito foothills. Canopied with oaks among running creeks- flowering vines and panoramas of the blue Pacific- the Ranch is among Californias most exclusive and historic hotel properties. From its origins in 1769 as a way station for Franciscan monks- to its days as a citrus ranch- and finally as a guest ranch in 1893- San Ysidro Ranch is a rich part of Californias history. More than 113 years later- it remains a favorite retreat for discriminating travelers. Guests discover a romantic- private haven immersed in the pleasures of casual luxury- discreet pampering and exquisite natural beauty. Built in classic bungalow style- accommodations consist of free-standing cottages- junior suites- ranch rooms- 2-bedroom suites and Specialty Accommodations- many of which are newly restored. Restored accommodations feature fireplaces- flat screen televisions and radiant heated bathroom floors; spacious private decks with hot tubs and outdoor rain showers. Seventeen miles of hiking and walking trails wind through groves of towering Eucalyptus and alongside the San Ysidro Creek. Bicycling- sailing and horseback riding can also be arranged through Guest Services. Beaches and shopping are moments away and the Santa Ynez wine country is just 30 miles north. Tee times are available at the private Montecito Country Club- Sandpiper Golf Course or at other central coast courses. Spa services- including massage and facials- are enjoyed in the privacy of your cottage or deck. Yoga and other fitness services can also be arranged. The Ranch welcomes pets in freestanding cottages with a USD100.00 charge per pet- per stay cleaning fee. Our restaurant is reopening to guests on August 7th, 2006. A complimentary continental breakfast buffet is served each morning and guests enjoy a wine and cheese reception in the evening- held fireside in the Hacienda.

These one-bedroom cottages are the Ranch signature accommodation. All feature private decks with hot tubs and outdoor rain showers. The renovated bathrooms include radiant heated floors, dual vanities and separate showers. Most bedrooms offer king-size beds and all have fireplaces, relaxing sofas and comfortable chairs in a separate living area. (1,200 sq. ft. average)

Spacious, bright and very inviting, each offers a separate sitting area, king-size bed, fireplace and private deck with hot tub and outdoor rain shower. (900 sq. ft. average)
- One-Bedroom Suite
Located creekside, the one-bedroom suites feature a separate living room with cozy fireplace and an expansive private deck with hot tub and outdoor rain shower. (1,500 sq. ft. average)
- Two-bedroom suites
The two-bedroom suites offer a spacious living room with comfortable sofas and chairs, a fireplace and a breakfast nook. Each ensuite includes two private bedrooms with king-size beds and two private bathrooms. Each suite also boasts a private patio with lush landscaping. (1,800 sq. ft. average)
- Kennedy Cottage
Chosen by John & Jackie for their 1953 honeymoon, The Kennedy Cottage exudes romance. Twin master suites, each with king bed, fireplace and stunning private bathroom, open to an expansive ocean-view deck with outdoor rain shower and large hot tub. The beautifully appointed living room features comfortable seating, fine antiques and original artwork. (1,800 sq ft.)
- Warner Cottage
With d r reminiscent of a charming European country house, the Warner Cottage is the Ranch signature private residence. The single-level home features two master bedrooms, 2.5 oversized bathrooms, three wood-burning fireplaces, a spacious living room, formal dining area and full kitchen. Both master bedrooms as well as the living/dining areas open onto a beautifully furnished patio overlooking treetops, the Pacific Ocean/Santa Barbara Harbor and Channel Islands. The private fenced yard features a heated 10-meter swimming pool, hot tub and a gas grill. Modern amenities including three televisions with DVD players, WiFi home entertainment system, fax machine, steam showers and oversized bath tubs. (2,200 sq. ft.)

Studio style guest rooms feature king-size beds, private patios, fireplaces or stoves, flat panel plasma screen TVs, and heated bathroom floors. Approx sq footage 350.
