High above Wuerzburg lies Steinburg castle. The name of the dream castle incorporates two facts; First there is the world-famous vineyard the Wuerzburger Stein at our feet and secondly there is the memory of a castle built right here on the Steinberg in the 13th century. Unfortunately this castle could not uphold its claim of a sturdy fortress following its totally ruin during a townsmen uprising ten years after it was built. In 1897 Peter Schneider recreated the Steinburg with much more beautiful visions. Just a little step is all you need to leave the real world behind you and enter into another world for a few precious hours. Our individually styled guest rooms create a suitable and comforting atmosphere. All rooms have minibar; satelite TV; telephone; WIFI; radio clock and bathroom with hairdryer. Shady trees; fresh air and a magnificent view of the fortress Marienberg and the Franconian beauty of Wuerzburg can be enjoyed from our panoramic terraces and are the place to be on sunny days and warm evening. In our wellness area we have integrated pools with a magnificent view over the city and a sauna. Your wishes and ideas are our challenge and our experience is your guarantee for creative and individual execution. There are 50 parking spaces around the hotel free of charge. Garage parking is available for rent at a charge of 8 Euro per night. Additional Information; Children age 6 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 7-12 pay 35 Euros including breakfast. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

Driving Directions

Starting Point: Rhein-Main Airport E, Exit the airport and take the motorway A3-Frankfurt in the direction of Wuerzburg and continue until you take the exit for Kist-Wuerzburg and follow the B27 in the direction of Wuerzburg. Cross the small village of Hoechberg and take the left lane direction for Fulda-Karlstadt and drive into Wuerzburg. After crossing a bridge turn left and take the left lane in the direction of Fulda-Karlstadt. Take the next exit Unterdurrbach and cross the small village. After 2 km you will see the Steinburgstrasse to your left. Turn left and drive up to the end of the street directly to Steinburg. Or from the airport take the train to Wuerzburg main station and then take the bus 13 at the station and go to Unterduerrbach. Get off at Unterduerrbach-Schule which is the stop at the school.
From there you walk up the stairs to the Steinburgstrasse and go to the hotel on top of the Steinberg.

Starting Point: Nuremberg Airport NW, Exit the airport and take the motorway A3 Nuernberg in the direction of Wuerzburg and continue until you take the exit Rottendorf-Bibelried. Follow the B8 in the direction of Wuerzburg. At the big crossing after passing the city limit stay on the right hand lane and drive straight ahead towards Versbach-Lindleinsmuehle. At the second traffic lights go left in the Zinklesweg direction and follow the road. Leave the city of Wuerzburg and pass Rotkreuzhof. Then turn left in the alley and drive through the small forest and you will arrive at the rear of the hotel.
