A handsome example of Victorian architecture, the Pump House Steam Museum was built in 1849 and served as Kingston's first water-pumping station an important ally in the fight against cholera and fire. A 10 minute walk for downtown and located one block west of the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes, the museum today houses multiple-ton monster engines, model trains and steam yacht.
