Location
Whitley Hall Hotel is ideally situated/ six miles north
of Sheffield City centre/ and just 2 miles from Junction
35 of the M1. It is a 16th Century mansion in landscaped
gardens and grounds with small lakes. All bedrooms in the
hotel have been beautifully decorated to a 4 star quality
standard with free WiFi and Broadband connection.
It is within easy reach of all the attractions and
facilities in Sheffield. The Crucible/ Lyceum/ Showroom
and Millennium Gallery set in the city centre provide great
venues for art. Meadowhall Shopping Centre situated south-west
of the hotel is also ideal for all your shopping needs.
Chapeltown station can provide frequent journeys to Leeds and
Sheffield City Centre; however/ most local attractions are
only a short drive away.

Property Description
Whitley Hall is an ivy-clad 16th century mansion/ located
within tranquil grounds of the large surrounding estate/
north of Sheffield. The grounds rise around the picturesque
house and are planted with fine oaks and other mature trees.
Peacocks/ Canadian geese/ mallards and squirrels grace the
gardens/ which also include two small lakes. However/ the
Hotel is within easy reach of Sheffield city centre/ Meadow
hall and other surrounding local areas making it ideal
shopping/ attending business functions and sampling the
local attractions.
The building itself takes up three sides of a large square
that once formed a paved courtyard. The central gateways
ivy covered pillars are still in existence at the end of the
lawn. The recently opened Parker wing offers rooms of the
very highest standard/ all of which have Juliet balconies
including four deluxe bedrooms with lake views.
Whitley Hall has a rich history/ as the ill-fated Mary
Queen of Scots was believed to have stayed here whilst
in the custody of the Earl of Shrewsbury at Sheffield Castle.
The village of Ecclesfield/ mentioned in the Domesday Book is close by.
