Starting Point: All Directions N, Koh Samui is midway between Bangkok and Phuket, inside the Gulf of Thailand. The island is just 21k wide and 25k long and has frequent air services from Bangkok, Phuket, Patya and Singapore. The massive seated Buddha image knows as "Big Buddha" is just five minutes from the resort. The airport is a 10-minute drive.
